Corrected now- thanks |

despite the fact that i'd take Kane over Patches anyday in a one on one trade, he's kind of stuck now with skinner's and Max's contracts , Kane has neither put up more points than skinner or more goals than Patches....so i dunno what his argument would be (yes he can probably put up 45-50 goal seasons eventually) but since he's what 21? he can negotiate that 5-6 years from now when he IS putting those numbers up...
shouldnt be this complicated for the Jets now |

I'm sure most GMs are leery of doing offer sheets at the moment, mostly because of how it will look in light of the newest cba talks. I also think its a forgone conclusion that Winnipeg isn't letting thier best winger, and most likely best player go. The Jets have plenty of money to spend and they will dish out a large sum if necessary to keep Kane. They don't want to do a deal too quickly if they can wait the talks out and see if they might be able to save a bit anyway though. No question he is a guy they will smother with cash if an offer sheet comes his way. Luckily, Philly will not be going that route. |
